A beautiful friendship begins when a British teacher rescues a penguin clinging to life in an oil slick washed up on a beach.

Electric Egg were approached by Penguin Random House to illustrate The Penguin Lessons, Tom Michell’s memoir of living with a penguin in a boys boarding school and the story of how the penguin, Juan Salvador won the hearts of everyone he met.

As well as creating the cover and internal illustrations we were also commissioned to make an animated book trailer featuring a reading by Bill Nighy.
