The Flight of Millicent Stanley is an intimate and immersive installation created for indoor spaces. The installation brings to life Georgian England in an experience that transports audiences through time to a horologist’s workshop, where you will encounter Millicent Stanley, the young clock maker’s apprentice. Millicent dreams of inventing wild and wonderful flying machines and taking to the skies.
This multidimensional show combines multiple animated projection mapped works, dynamic lighting and spatial sound design within a physical “theatrical set”. The narrative unfolds across four projected elements: two large projections and two projection-mapped set components – one onto a workshop table filled with clocks, and another directly onto the main character’s design desk.
This all combines to immerse the audience in Milicent’s world of wonder and tell her inspiring tale of flight, invention and a touch of fantasy.
