“Absolute perfection is required when reproducing works of art within books and publications. I was delighted to discover Electric Egg as I can rely on them to deliver exactly that. I have worked with them over many years for a range of art book publishers, including Tate Publishing, and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.”
Nathaniel Hepburn, Director, Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft
Photographing artwork and artefacts for museums and galleries presents an array of challenges. These challenges range from correctly reproducing the colour of an artefact through to restrictions that its condition or age may place on the photographer. This may be that flash can not be used or that a painting may not be removed from its frame. At Electric Egg we have worked with a number of galleries, museums and trusts to record and document such works. Be it photographing original drawings by Barbara Hepworth, the original manuscript of “In Memoriam” by Tennyson or contemporary public art sculpture, we have the experience to shoot these works carefully, accurately and considerately in any location.
